In a unexpected collaboration that defies usual forecasts, the game developer has unveiled an virtual partnership between Assassin's Creed Shadows and the acclaimed anime series Attack on Titan. The unexpected Thanksgiving event operates from November 25 through December 22, providing no-cost extra story content for Shadows players.
Strange Mission Revealed
According to the official announcement, "A mysterious encounter pulls heroes Naoe and Yasuke into a fresh quest, where rumors of prohibited rituals and terrifying changes echo through the obscurity." The storyline features a "oddly dressed woman named Ada" who tasks the duo with venturing into the Crystalline Cavern—a key location from Attack on Titan—to save her ally from a clandestine sect.
The questline focuses on "peculiar tests and a terrifying enemy" and is open to all players who have gained access to the Yasuke character.
Iconic Locations and Transformations
The preview features the Subterranean Sanctuary from Attack on Titan redesigned as the Crystal Cave. This historic location was previously where the Reiss royal family handed down the Founding Titan ability through generations. The preview ends with a powerful sequence showing a character, probably the hostage, morphing into a Titan that rises over Naoe and Yasuke.
Unique Items and Additional Features
Players who accomplish the adventure will acquire an exclusive katana together with several objects secreted throughout the area in hidden chests. The update also features in-store Attack on Titan item packs, offering:
- Titan-based attire for Yasuke
- Mikasa outfit for Naoe

Third Free Story Addition
This patch also introduces the game's third free story addition, titled "The Enigma."
